  • Confront the myths surrounding suicide and understand the value of human connection in reducing risk
  • Apply the MHFA Champions ‘ALGEE’ action plan using case studies
  • Gain insights to ensure both customer care and self-care is maintained when front-line teams encounter challenging behaviours associated with mental health issues
  • Examine a range of frameworks and toolkits and identify the fundamental elements to build an authentic approach for introducing a mental health strategy into your unique workplace

Why this training is crucial for your organisation :

On this two-day workshop you will gain insight into mental health, which we all have, as well as mental health conditions, and how they might manifest themselves in the workplace and home. Along with best practice and traps to avoid, you will practise how you as individuals can role-model the most powerful techniques – supportive conversations, non-judgemental listening and self-care.

You’ll take away a step-by-step framework to give you the building blocks for implementing a strategy in your workplace, with authenticity as a guide. This workshop includes the one-day Mental Health First Aid Champions workshop, endorsed by Public Health England, which will run as per MHFA guidelines to ensure accreditation. You will receive an MHFA workbook and manual as well as additional resources for you and your workplace. MHFA England send out an e-certificate from approximately 6 weeks after the course.
